We are so excited to be partnering with Super Slow Way, a fantastic arts organisation which operates along the Leeds and Liverpool canal. Visit their website to find out more about their incredible projects, community work and brilliant team members.
Super Slow Way have granted The Reforestation Project access to a site in Audley, Blackburn, which they are intending on bringing back to life through artist partnerships and community projects and activities. We are so excited to get involved with their projects and begin working on some of the plans we have in development.

Planting native trees is a core pillar of what we do, and The Super Slow Way have been overwhelmingly positive in response to our proposals. We have already planted an apple tree in their orchard, and have plans to plant an oak tree as part of their latest activity day in the next phase of their Homegrown/Homespun project, now named Fleece and Flax.

Being a historic, canal-side site, Audley is an ideal habitat for the invasive species, Himalayan balsam. Our team have begun assessing the land and applying our 5-step eradication process to relieve the land of this problem and begin allowing native species to thrive once again.
Keep an eye on this page for future projects which we and The Super Slow Way have in store, and if you have any questions or would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you!
